MOMS Clubs - Mt. Pleasant, South

 The MOMS Club is an international non-profit support group for at-home mothers. There are currently three MOMS Club chapters in the Mount Pleasant area. The groups’ activities include playgroups, park days, babysitting co-op, special outings, and much more. The chapters also perform service projects for local charities. Mothers are encouraged to bring children to all activities.
 The MOMS Club was started in the fall of 1983 by our founder, Mary B. James. The first local chapter was in Simi Valley, CA. Word spread about the wonderful support that the MOMS Club offers at-home mothers and we became a national organization in 1985 and international in 1996. We now have over 1,800 local chapters with 85,000+ members in the U.S. alone--and more chapters are starting every month in both the U.S. and internationally!

MOMS stands for Mothers Offering Mothers Support. This support is created through a network of new and tenured moms living in the same community who come together in friendship to support one another through the journey of motherhood.

We recognize that you, the at-home mother of today, are interested in the world around you and your children. You are proud of your decision to provide at-home mothering for your family. Because we believe being a mother should not isolate you, children are encouraged to attend all programs.
